Giambattista Taglioni Joins Oliver Wyman As Senior Partner In Its Insurance And Asset Management Practice

Milan, 23 July 2024 - Oliver Wyman, a global management consultancy and a business of Marsh McLennan, announced today the appointment of Giambattista "GB" Taglioni as Senior Partner in its insurance and asset management practice, effective immediately. Mr. Taglioni is based in Milan.
In his role, Mr. Taglioni is responsible for building the insurance and asset management franchise in three key areas. This includes leading the development of key client accounts in the Italian market, collaborating with European teams to support insurance clients in Europe, and spearheading the construction of global property and casualty underwriting and pricing capabilities within the practice.
Mr. Taglioni brings over 30 years of experience in the consulting industry to Oliver Wyman, most recently having been based in the United States as Senior Partner at Boston Consulting Group (BCG). During his time at BCG, he also served as the Global Head of Property and Casualty Insurance Practice, supporting insurance companies, banks, and asset managers in over 500 strategic projects and performance improvements. He began his career as a consultant in 1993 at McKinsey, where he stayed for 24 years, reaching the position of Senior Partner. In addition, he helped found McKinsey’s risk practice and was Risk Leader for its insurance practice, leader of its insurance practice in Italy, Chair of the Risk People Committee, and Head of Insurance in its global risk knowledge committee.
