Based in Singapore, Seo leads Oliver Wyman’s Southeast Asia business and serves on the firm’s Leadership Council. Seo finds passion in developing our people and partnering with clients on their most pressing issues.
I am deeply indebted to so many in this great firm who have helped me develop throughout my career. It is an exhilarating feeling when I get to reciprocate at least some of this by working with the next generations of our leaders and see them grow
With over two decades of experience in consulting and financial services, Seo has advised leading financial institutions and corporations, governments, and social impact organizations around the world on the topics of strategy, finance and risk, operations, and digital transformation. One aspect of work Seo finds particularly rewarding is helping large financial institutions in Asia transform themselves into formidable global institutions equipped with world-class sophistication and capabilities, which is always a journey that requires strong vision, ambition and resilience.
There is a special bond that forms when we work closely with our clients on the important journeys that they are on, which then develops into a mutual sense of pride in the milestones and achievements we deliver together. This feeling of intimacy on shared success is what keeps me going year after year
Outside of Oliver Wyman, Seo has recently picked up Jo-jutsu, which he describes as both an intense and calming experience. An old Japanese martial art that uses a wooden stick, Jo-jutsu was originally mastered by peasants who didn’t have the right to carry swords to protect themselves.
