Sean joined Oliver Wyman’s Chicago office as a senior manager in 2022.
With more than 11 years of experience, Sean provides both traditional and non-traditional actuarial services to commercial and Medicaid health plans.
His areas of expertise include conducting medical and prescription cost trend reviews, providing analytical and strategic support for total cost of care and clinical initiatives, identifying opportunities to modernize healthcare reimbursement, and working with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency.
Additionally, he has experience with network contract benchmarking, payment methodologies, commercial forecasting, small and large group pricing, Medicaid risk adjustment, site of care initiatives, prior authorization programs, high-cost member management, data visualization tools, and both advanced and predictive analytics.
Healthcare is an extremely complex industry with multiple stakeholders. However, at its core, healthcare should prioritize individual consumers who seek care to improve their health and well-being. Each day, I work to find ways to improve and modernize our healthcare system for the benefit of all participants
Sean holds an MBA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an MS in Mathematics from Roosevelt University. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
