Ryan is a Principal in the Milwaukee office of Oliver Wyman Actuarial Consulting. Ryan has 20 years of actuarial experience and specializes in providing actuarial and strategic consulting to health plans, providers, and insurance regulators.

His experience includes developing Affordable Care Act (ACA) rates for Individual and Small Group health products, reviewing and developing regulatory rate filings, performing actuarial modeling to understand the impact of proposed and passed legislation, supporting states in their submission of successful Section 1332 Waiver applications, assisting in the review and development of risk-based contract arrangements, and forecasting financial performance.

Prior to joining Oliver Wyman, Ryan was an actuary at Assurant Health. At Assurant, his primary focus was on monitoring emerging medical and prescription drug claims trends, applying actuarial techniques to identify and create efficiencies in the performance of Assurant’s operational teams, and overseeing processes associated with the ACA Risk Adjustment program.

Ryan is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
