Ryan, a partner based in our Washington DC office, has helped clients navigate the complex landscape of payments, fintech, and financial services since 2006.

He advises leading financial institutions, fintechs, networks, processors, merchants, investors and other industry players on a wide range of strategic challenges. Before joining Oliver Wyman, he held senior consulting roles at First Annapolis Consulting and Accenture Strategy.

Much of Ryan’s work focuses on helping clients build new payments or fintech business lines, launch innovative products and expand into new geographic markets. He also specializes in developing and strengthening key partnerships with networks, processors, banking-as-a-service providers and co-branding partners.

He has a particular passion for the intersection of strategy and regulation in payments and financial services — whether advising a fintech on the best chartering or licensing path, helping a bank implement controls to support a new product launch, or crafting a strategic response to upcoming changes in interchange regulation.
