Rob is the global design lead of Oliver Wyman’s Digital Practice. He is passionate about empowering designers and creating optimal conditions in multidisciplinary teams to create products and services that users (and the organizations that produce them) love.
He enjoys understanding the challenges businesses and their people face and is a leading proponent of design thinking to help unpack and rethink new ways of being.
It’s a fascinating time to be a designer. Design thinking (and doing) has a huge role to play in helping businesses address the near constant disruption they face. Single discipline solutions are rarely effective in solving complex problems, and the combination of talents at Oliver Wyman means we get to tackle the most meaningful issues of the day.
Rob brings over 30 years of design and creative experience across many disciplines of design to Oliver Wyman. He originally studied Industrial Design and believes strongly in the combination of form and function. He founded Clicked Creative in 1998, combining with Draw in 2012, which was acquired by Oliver Wyman in 2018. He has led ground-breaking digital projects for many clients and been the central creative lead in many of Oliver Wyman’s flagship digital engagements. He uses a combination of design thinking and co-creation to help clients spot opportunities for climate and sustainability innovation in their systems designs and ecosystems.
He lives on the south coast of England with his family. When he isn’t working, you’ll find Rob racing his sailing dinghy (you’ll see him at the back), struggling with a cryptic crossword, being overly-emotionally tied to the fortunes of Chelsea Football Club, and buying mechanical pencils he doesn’t need.
I knew I wanted to be a designer from an early age and have spent my subsequent years making that a reality. At Oliver Wyman, I get the chance to collaborate with a huge variety of personalities and interesting people which in turn helps to design not only better products but also better outcomes.
