Based out of Chicago, Jared brings deep expertise in transformation, and crisis management serving Management teams, investors, and Boards of Directors to Oliver Wyman’s Restructuring & Transformation practice.
After starting his career in commercial banking, Jared moved into the consulting world, where he developed a niche in driving the growth of large firms’ restructuring capabilities on the global stage. Over the past 25 years, he has performed over 50 transactions exceeding $100BN in value throughout North and South America, Western Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
I gravitate towards helping companies and people when there are complex issues to solve with “outside of the box” solutions.
Jared steps in when companies find themselves underperforming and wish to avoid the bottom of the health curve. Serving as a quarterback, he’s able to adapt the core rules and tactics to different industries as the economy dictates performance by leveraging firm expertise.
I’ve always felt inspired by Ralph Waldo Emerson’s advice, "do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail," and frequently apply this perspective to my work.
Outside of work, Jared enjoys golf, racing cars, practicing Pilates, and numerous outdoor activities with his wife, daughter, and Malamute. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BS in Finance from Indiana University and is both a Chartered Financial Analyst and a Certified Insolvency & Restructuring Advisor.
