Huw is a partner and vice chair at Oliver Wyman. In this role, he advises investors and financial institutions to assist them in their efforts to capture opportunities and mitigate risks posed by the transition to a lower carbon economy. He also drives research of financial markets and sustainability trends to help guide investment and strategic decisions.
Huw currently serves as a member of the Investment Committee at the Oxford University Endowment and co-chair of the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on Responsive Financial Systems.
Previously he was Senior Advisor to the Chief Executive of UBS and Chair of the Sustainable Finance Committee. Before this, he was Senior Advisor to Mark Carney when he was Governor at the Bank of England, leading the van Steenis report, which made a series of recommendations, including climate scenario exercises for banks and insurers.
Huw worked at Morgan Stanley for 14 years, spending much of his time there as Global Head of Banks and Diversified Financials research. He and his teams won numerous awards during this time, including being voted #1 in investor surveys 12 times.
