Serge is a Partner in Oliver Wyman's Corporate and Institutional Banking and Finance and Risk practices, based in London.
Covering corporate banking, structured finance, fixed income, currency and commodities, as well as investment banking divisions, Serge has a broad remit. He has supported banks to set net zero targets and develop and implement plans to achieve these targets, including client prioritization, client transition plan assessment, pricing and embedding within end-to-end lending processes.
He works with clients across the UK, Ireland, Netherlands, and Nordics, combining industry knowledge and problem-solving skills with a practical approach to address industry-wide and bank-specific change.
In looking at challenges we are focused on facts, rather than conceptual debate or theoretical arguments. We provide analysis and objective evidence to support clients’ decisions around change
Serge has led Oliver Wyman’s work on LIBOR and other benchmarks since 2011, including LIBOR reform and supporting the Sterling Risk Free Working Group on transition challenges and mitigation approaches. Through his deep understanding and an extensive network of market participants, Serge has helped clients become better informed and set a path for change.
Beyond the obvious market need, Serge’s work in LIBOR has directly resulted from Oliver Wyman’s commitment to opportunity without barriers for all employees. This meant that when the chance to work in this area came up, Serge was able to take it on and become a specialist.
See every new project as an opportunity to learn, build, and develop. There is always something you can do successfully here. It’s about taking opportunities as they come and using them to develop new relationships or strengthen existing ones
Outside of work, Serge enjoys travelling and exploring with his four kids. He also enjoys sports – particularly rugby – and coaches kids locally.
