Serdar is a partner leading our defense and space industry platforms in the IMEA region. With over 17 years of experience in consulting and private equity, he has developed significant expertise in the defense and space sectors across the Middle East, Europe, and Asia.
He has a strong track record of advising military authorities and defense companies across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) on industry localization and technology development. He has supported governments in defining defense industry strategies, domain-specific localization roadmaps, and commercialization models.
Additionally, Serdar has played a key role in establishing and restructuring national defense champions in emerging markets, guiding their go-to-market strategies and technology transfer efforts.

In the realm of space, Serdar actively supports emerging countries in developing national space strategies and building local capabilities such as talent, funding, and infrastructure. He has contributed to the design of innovation centers, talent academies, and technology roadmaps for the space sector. By focusing on capacity-building, Serdar helps emerging countries better utilize space assets for economic development, national security, and scientific advancement.
He holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering from Bilkent University. Outside of work, he is an avid watch collector, specializing in mid-century dress watches.
